What is TelemedicineIM?
TelemedicineIM is about making life easier for participants in the Insurance and Medical communities – the IM in TelemedicineIM – while ultimately enabling better service to the patient, at a lower cost and with greater convenience.TelemedicineIM is an invitation only network. It’s not possible to just search for people to “see who’s out there.” The Sphere of Care is not about “friending” as many people as you can find, its about creating a community of people that the patient truly cares about and who truly care about the patient and their health outcomes. Providers of services can contribute to blogs and forums to contribute constructively to the patient experience.
TelemedicineIM is an open network. It is a platform that enables building and associating healthcare networks. Networks can be built for a healthcare organization, a healthcare practice or a patient can build their own personal telecare network – what we call a “Sphere of Care”. Our mission is to provide technology that expedites care amongst formal and informal caregivers, and lowers costs by empowering patients to build a personal telecare network that includes friends and family.
Today, one of the biggest costs to delivering care is inefficient communication amongst health care providers and informal care such as care givers, family, and friends. As part of a TelemedicineIM personal telecare network, coordination of care can be expedited at a much faster rate for both the patient and the healthcare provider which benefits all stakeholders by taking inefficiencies out of the system.
Seniors, people with mobility issues, patients seeing multiple healthcare providers and patients using family members to assist in their care can truly benefit from building a personal telecare network.
For those who have experienced an insurance accident or claim, a personal telecare network is excellent for Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Absenteeism, Workers Compensation and Automotive Injury claims by getting care sooner and in a coordinated manner. We have programs for Automobile Insurers, Eldercare Providers, Workers Compensation Insurers, Health Trusts, Health Plan Insurers and Third Party Claims Administrators which can enable whole groups of patients for only pennies per day per person.

What is free and how does the service work?
Access to our marketplace is free. Just click here to fill out the request including your email address. When a patient wants your services or product, you will be notified via email. At that time you can decide to participate in our network. TelemedicineIM is truly an on demand network in which you use private social media, video, chat, chat rooms, instant messaging, secure email and scheduling to become a part of a patient’s Sphere of Care.Three concepts have shaped the creation of our distinctly different telemedicine solution; one that is patient focused and that enables changes in the paradigm of delivering services to patient-clients.
- First, patients and medical delivery services contract directly with TelemedicineIM, not with each other. With this approach neither party has any liability to the other for the technology solution and this relieves providers of the regulatory burdens in using this technology. By removing medical information from the system, adding video, social and educational delivery technology we have a created a new way of managing and coordinating care.
- Second, we’ve purposely designed TelemedicineIM to exclude electronic medical information and records. Our system is browser-based and works on all platforms that support EMR/PHR, so just keep using your EMR/PHI as you would normally.
- Finally, this is a telemedicine marketplace, Healthcare providers, patients and medical suppliers can work on one medium to offer services and provide support to providers and patients through a simple to use, easily accessible web-based system.
